Pride Doula

Morgan Mettler

Certified Birth Doula (DONA), Postpartum Doula

I am a full-spectrum doula focused on providing support during pregnancy, birth and beyond.

My goal is humble care. To me, this means deeply understanding birthing people and how to best serve them.

My Services

My role as a doula is to educate families and amplify their preferences. I give birthing people and their partners the tools needed to make informed and confident decisions.

My vision is care that centers the birthing person. I join the birth team to protect the autonomy and peace of the family.

Birth Doula

Postpartum Doula

About Me

My journey in birth work started at age 12, when I had the unique experience of catching my little sister at her birth. At age 22, I started my work as a hospital volunteer doula at the University of Vermont Medical Center, actively confronting a healthcare gap in the community. My early hospital volunteer work gave me an understanding of the different needs of birthing families, and an intimate familiarity with how hospitals function.

I am a DONA Certified Doula, having completed in-person training in Birth Doula services, Childbirth Education, TENS Unit, Lactation Support, and Postpartum services. I provide deep support of families as they transition their families through pregnancy and postpartum.

Doula Morgan's work with birthing parents and support people is infused with love and patience, and it has been a pleasure to welcome her into our family during the birthing process. Above all else, Doula Morgan is unfailingly and unendingly kind. Her calm demeanor and her sweet sense of humor are comforting in stressful situations, and I felt completely comfortable and safe having her by my side during labor and having her in my home postpartum. This is exactly what a birthing person needs--to feel safe, secure, and empowered to share fears and ask questions throughout the prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum processes. I was apprehensive about going through the birthing process as a queer single mother, and Doula Morgan held me in care the whole time so that I felt safe, comfortable, and empowered. If you're looking for a doula who understands and supports alternative family structures, or an emotionally supportive doula who promotes your growth as a new parent making big decisions for the first time, look no further.
