Client Love

I have been  welcomed into many different families to support their goals. Here is some feedback I have received on my style of support, and knowledge of birth and alternative coping strategies.

Katie-Rose

Doula Morgan's work with birthing parents and support people is infused with love and patience, and it has been a pleasure to welcome her into our family during the birthing process. Above all else, Doula Morgan is unfailingly and unendingly kind. Her calm demeanor and her sweet sense of humor are comforting in stressful situations, and I felt completely comfortable and safe having her by my side during labor and having her in my home postpartum. This is exactly what a birthing person needs--to feel safe, secure, and empowered to share fears and ask questions throughout the prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum processes. I was apprehensive about going through the birthing process as a queer single mother, and Doula Morgan held me in care the whole time so that I felt safe, comfortable, and empowered. If you're looking for a doula who understands and supports alternative family structures, or an emotionally supportive doula who promotes your growth as a new parent making big decisions for the first time, look no further.

Morgan is absolutely incredible and we will 100% want her as our doula if we are pregnant again! She provided invaluable support during labor with our first child, helping us navigate decisions and challenges with compassion and practical experience. She enabled me to feel empowered to advocate for my birth preferences and was a great sounding board when we needed to think through next steps based on my labor progress. I cannot imagine our labor experience without Morgan as both my partner and I felt truly supported and cared for during such a special and vulnerable experience. She allowed us to be more present and connected during the labor, for which I will forever be grateful. I now have many treasured memories about how my son entered this world. Morgan has found her calling in being a doula and I want for every laboring person to experience this level of support during their birth journey. Thank you so much Morgan

We're thinking about Morgan's tremendous support prior to and during the birth of our child 11 days ago, as we hold our squirming perfect infant. We encountered Morgan through Golden Gate Doula Network. We interviewed several doulas but from our conversation with Morgan we knew we had found our match. Her combination of warm and generous energy with a deep knowledge and patient focus on making sure that all decisions were our decisions, not hers, underscored our relationship. It was also great that Morgan's practice offered three in-person meetings before birth. Morgan was communicative and up-front about the kind of support she could provide and how to make the relationship successful, as well as alerting us to potential time conflict if our due date went over by a week. This didn't happen - ours came two weeks early and Morgan was ready to support - but she was proactive in connecting us with multiple alternative doulas in case she wouldn't be available. Her support during the birth itself was crucial to a wonderful birth experience. She took over focus on positions and comfort for me as I labored and pushed, and gave my partner guidance on how and when to provide me with further comfort, words of encouragement, and nourishment. She also took great pictures that helped us contextualize our birth journey after the fact. Her supportive messages as we ease into life as parents are also welcome connection to the planning we did before the birth. I emerged from the hospital with our new family of three with a sense of pride in my birth experience thanks to Morgan's guidance. In short, we can't recommend Morgan enough as a doula. I would be thrilled to know someone I love and trust was using her services on their own birth journey.

Morgan was an amazing birth doula for our first child! Initially unsure about the value of a doula, we connected with Morgan through a Golden Gate Doula Associates video call. Her humor, directness, and ability to put us at ease were immediate wins. I loved that she offered guidance while prioritizing our preferences and adapting to our changing needs. With our busy schedules, Morgan's prenatal prep was invaluable. Her engaging teaching style and passion for birth science made learning fun and memorable. Morgan championed my desire for a natural birth at the hospital, providing alternative comfort measures (massage, verbal encouragement, TENS unit) and constant support throughout labor (including a middle-of-the-night response!). The hospital staff even recognized and admired her professionalism and advocacy for our wishes. I highly recommend Morgan! - Libby I cannot recommend Morgan enough! My wife and I just had our first child last week and we are so happy to have had Morgan's support. Leading up to the delivery Morgan came to meet with us multiple times and taught us everything we needed to know about the pregnancy and what to expect on delivery day. These meetings saved us so much time researching on our own and most importantly gave us confidence. When we went into labor at about 1am Morgan was available by text and supported until she was able to arrive at the hospital. With her help we were able to successfully have a natural delivery and everything went smoothly. She was so supportive and showed me how to help my wife during labor. Morgan added so much value and support to our experience and we will never forget her! - Adam

I highly recommend Morgan as a Doula. I think she is going to be the next big thing and feel really lucky to have been able to work with her on short notice for my first baby. She is extremely warm, detail oriented, reliable, professional, enthusiastic and positive, and open and collaborative. I interviewed several doulas, including one who has been running a group practice for 10 years, and Morgan was by far the most responsive to what I had said I was looking for, and had the most collaborative approach with my loved ones and hospital staff. During the birth she was extremely available and helped to create a positive and cozy atmosphere and made the hospital room feel more like home. She helped us think through some difficult decisions on the day of as well. After the delivery, my nurse went out of her way to comment on how great Morgan had been with the hospital staff and said they would love to work with her again. Overall it was fantastic to work with her and I can recommend her without reservations.

Working with Morgan was the best decision my husband and I made during my pregnancy! Besides her being incredibly knowledgeable, completely non-judgmental, and guiding us through any and all moments of uncertainly, she also took the time to get to know us as a couple to figure out how our dynamic would work in creating the most successful labor possible. Throughout my pregnancy I knew I could rely on her, and when labor did start getting intense and our emotions completely took over, Morgan was there to provide the calm and assurance my husband and I needed. She kept us on track with our labor plan in a way that was both gentle but steady - which we needed - and made sure that we always felt informed about what was happening as labor progressed. I still am in awe that our labor went as well as it did - almost exactly what we had planned out and hoped for in advance - and I know that wouldn't have been the case without Morgan. Even if things had gone differently and our plan hadn't worked out, I still trust that she would have made us feel safe and prepared. We are now one week out from our daughter's delivery, and still remarking on how incredible it was to have Morgan by our side. We couldn't be more grateful!

I can not speak highly enough of my experience with Morgan as my doula. We met 3 times in my last trimester of pregnancy, and she was knowledgeable, personable and reassuring. She approached serious discussions with humor and understanding, and it felt like spending time with a good friend who happened to be a birthing expert. She was an absolutely integral part of my hospital birth, supporting both me and my partner in the extremely vulnerable time of labor and delivery. She was able to anticipate my needs without me speaking them, and knew just when to defer to my partner/me vs take charge of the situation. I can’t imagine having gone through this experience without her in my corner. I would recommend her services to anyone looking for any level of labor education and support.

Morgan was everything we thought we needed and more in our birth doula. We are first time parents and knew we wanted someone calm, centered, and caring to be our partner through the birth and from the start Morgan was it! From the get go she was incredibly responsive and so helpful in educating us on not only the birth process but surrounding topics like lactation and recovery. During the birth, Morgan was our rock -- she kept us strong and even as things went sideways from our "ideal" birth plan (as they tend to do!) she was our touchpoint to make sure the decisions we were making were true to us. At the end, she supported us through a 2 day labor, 4 hours of pushing, and a C-section -- even packing up all of our belongings for us so we could move to the recovery room. I couldn't recommend Morgan enough!

Having Morgan as our doula was truly a blessing. She responded to an email in the middle of the night and arrived the very next morning to support us. She was 100% there for us through the entire process and we were very lucky to have her knowledge and support. ...We had a unique situation where we needed a doula last minute and Morgan did wonderfully without any information going in to our birth. She was amazing under the circumstances and with such short notice. She definitely has a natural gift for nurturing and empathy.

Having Morgan at our birth made a huge difference in the overall energy for me and my partner. Her support allowed my fiancé to be fully present with me. Morgan is very open and warm. I would not have wanted to do this without her.

When we began considering having a doula attend our baby’s delivery, we decided that we wanted to find someone who could be an important source of support without pushing any particular agenda (such as unmedicated delivery). Early in the interview process, it became clear that Morgan stood out. She immediately listened to our goals and hopes for doula care (rather than beginning with her own worldview) and used that information to tailor her approach for us. She provided us with very helpful, neutral information about different aspects of delivery to consider (e.g., pain relief options, common induction methods) and took the time to listen to our specific history and how it could affect the delivery. She was also very organized with written materials and resources to review after our first in-person meeting. When it came to the delivery itself, we encountered unforeseen complications, but Morgan rearranged her schedule to be available for us way earlier than predicted. She offered practical support, such as guidance on positions and exercises, and also helped us consider important questions for the doctors and nursing staff so we could better understand all options, risks, and benefits for our complicated situation. She did all of this without ever second-guessing their clinical recommendations or introducing doubt into the process. We would gladly and highly recommend her to anyone looking for respectful, caring doula services, especially for high-risk pregnancies in the hospital setting.
